Community Rules

Public standards for Code Zero participation.

This page is a public overview. Department and staff policies can contain additional role-specific expectations.

Rules

Core standards.

These rules apply broadly across official Code Zero activity.

CZ

Community Conduct

Be respectful, avoid harassment and deliberate disruption, and use official support channels when an issue needs staff review.

CZ

Roleplay Integrity

Stay in character during active scenes, avoid forcing outcomes, separate out-of-character information from character knowledge, and give other players reasonable opportunities to respond.

CZ

Official Sessions

Follow the session host, use the required communications channels and display-name format, and use CAD when the session or department requires it.

CZ

Driving & Scene Realism

Vehicle behavior should fit the scene and current conditions. Deliberately unrealistic driving or actions used to gain an advantage can be treated as Failure to Roleplay.

CZ

Restricted Roleplay

ICE roleplay is prohibited in official Code Zero sessions. Staff may stop other scenes that violate community policy or cannot be moderated appropriately.

CZ

Reports & Support

Reports and complaints should use the official support/ticket process. Code Zero does not rely on private DMs for issues that need tracking or administrative follow-up.

CZ

Chain of Command

Start with the lowest appropriate supervisor or team. Escalate only when the matter is unresolved, involves that supervisor, or genuinely requires higher authority.

CZ

Moderation

Staff responses should be proportional to severity and history. Significant administrative actions should be documented in the appropriate internal system.

Session Notices

Session-specific notices.

Some temporary rules can be announced for map conditions, events, or special operations.

Current session instructions take priority where they add reasonable temporary restrictions.

For example, leadership may publish seasonal safety restrictions when frozen-river or hazardous driving conditions are active. Temporary rules should be announced clearly before they are enforced.
